Yamunotri is one of the four sacred dhams of uttarakhand in Garhwal himalayas - The home of Goddess Yamuna and named after River Yamuna, sister of Yamraj. Yamunotri Temple was built in the 19th Century by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again.
